How do you fill in the template?
- 1
Set the frame
Write the class topic, date, level and equipment at the top and tick the length: 45, 50 or 60 minutes.
- 2
Start with the main part
Plan the exercises the class is really about first. Then pick a warm-up that prepares for them and a cool-down that brings everyone back down.
- 3
Fill in the springs
Note the springs for your machine next to every exercise. Grouping exercises with the same setting saves rebuilds.
- 4
Check the timing
The guidelines for 50 minutes: arrival and breath 0–3, warm-up 3–12, main part 12–46, cool-down 46–50. Write your own time next to them.
- 5
Review after class
The last box is for what worked and what you would change next time.

How do you split a 50-minute reformer class?
A reliable frame: 3 minutes of arrival and breath, about 9 minutes of warm-up, around 34 minutes of main part and 4 minutes of cool-down. These are the guidelines printed on the template.
Does the template work for 45 or 60 minutes?
Yes. Tick the length at the top and shift the sections accordingly. The printed guidelines are for 50 minutes.
