Reformer for Beginners: All on One Spring
From standing mobility to a single-sided box series
A calm entry-level flow that barely needs a spring change: mobility, plank and downward dog at the footbar with no springs at all, then a single-sided series on the long box and short box — hinge, side bend with the ball, knee lift and thread the needle. Arms in the short straps with circles and tricep extensions to finish. Seven exercises with clear spring settings, ideal for your first Reformer classes.
Who This Class Is For
For beginner groups that need a calm flow. And for you if you do not want to lose time changing springs: almost the whole class runs on one light spring.
The plank at the start happens at the footbar with no springs, so it is stable and easy to control.
The Common Thread
Mobilise first, then a one-sided series that repeats after the side change, and finish with the arms.
Because the spring hardly ever changes, the group stays focused on the movement instead of the equipment.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why "all on one spring"?
After the no-spring mobility, the whole class runs on one light spring. You lose no time changing springs, and the group stays in the flow.
What equipment do I need?
Long box, short box, a Pilates ball and the short straps.
Does it work as a first reformer class?
Yes, it is written for beginners. The one-sided series gives time to learn each position calmly.
