Starting Position

Footbar down, lying on your back on the carriage, the band around the thighs, feet hip-width on the platform, arms long by your sides.

Step-by-Step Flow

  1. Inhale calmly through the nose and let the ribs widen.
  2. Exhale long through the mouth and switch on your center.
  3. Press lightly into the band and take a few breaths to arrive.

Cues for Teaching

  • The ribs widen to the sides, not just to the front.
  • The shoulders stay low and heavy.
  • With every exhale the back sinks a little more into the carriage.
