Starting Position

The box at the front right beside the carriage, facing the end of the Reformer. The left thigh in the long strap, both legs in tabletop, hands behind the head, gaze to the ceiling.

Step-by-Step Flow

  1. Crunch and extend the right leg into the diagonal.
  2. Add the twist to the left knee.
  3. Hold the twist, lower and lift the right leg.
  4. Hold the twist and bend the left leg.

Cues for Teaching

  • The crunch comes from the breastbone, the head rests heavy in the hands.
  • The leg only goes as low into the diagonal as the lower back stays still.
  • In the twist the rib cage turns, the pelvis stays still.
