Starting Position

Facing the end of the reformer, both knees against the shoulder blocks, the right hand on the poles, the left hand on the headrest, the left leg extended long behind.

Step-by-Step Flow

  1. Pull long towards the end of the reformer with the right arm.
  2. Hold the pull and lift and lower the left leg.

Cues for Teaching

  • The pull comes from the back, not from the arm.
  • The long leg stays in one line with the torso.
  • The hip stays square, even as the leg rises.
