Starting Position

Lying on your back on the carriage, legs in the Pilates ring, ring above the knees, legs in tabletop, arms in the short straps and opened out to the side in a T.

Step-by-Step Flow

  1. Bring the long arms down beside the hips.
  2. Add lifting the head.
  3. Extend the legs into a diagonal as well.
  4. Hold the arms beside the hips, lift & lower the long legs in the diagonal.
  5. Hold the position and pulse the legs against the Pilates ring.

Cues for Teaching

  • Let the ribs settle, lower back stays long on the carriage.
  • Hold light pressure against the ring without tensing the hips.
  • Move the arms with control, no swinging.
  • Neck long, gaze to the ceiling.
