Starting Position

The short box on the Reformer, sitting sideways on it, facing left, the right leg under the strap, the left leg bent resting on the box, the Pilates ring in the hands.

Step-by-Step Flow

  1. Bend sideways toward the end of the Reformer.
  2. Bend sideways and rotate the upper body toward the floor.
  3. Pulse gently while leaning sideways.

Cues for Teaching

  • The bend comes from the waist, not the shoulders.
  • The pelvis stays anchored on the box.
  • The ring stays under light pressure through the rotation.
