Starting Position

Lying on your side on the box, facing right, the left hand set on the headrest (wrist under the shoulder), the right arm in the long strap with the elbow pointing up toward the ceiling, the ball between the ankles.

Step-by-Step Flow

  1. Extend the right arm long up toward the ceiling.
  2. Add rolling the ball in with the top leg.
  3. Hold the right arm extended up and only roll the ball in.

Cues for Teaching

  • Keep the right wrist stable as you extend the arm up.
  • As you extend, the shoulder stays down and the arm reaches long upward.
  • The top leg rolls the ball without the pelvis tipping back.
