Starting Position

The long box on the carriage. Lying on your back on the box, facing the end of the Reformer, both legs in the long straps in tabletop, hands behind the head.

Step-by-Step Flow

  1. Extend one leg long into the diagonal.
  2. Add a twist.
  3. Extend both legs long into the diagonal.
  4. Add the arms.
  5. Hold.

Cues for Teaching

  • The lower back stays long on the box.
  • The legs only go as low into the diagonal as the back stays still.
  • The twist comes from the ribcage, the elbows stay wide.
