Starting Position

Box in longbox position, positioned slightly to the right on the carriage. Left foot on the carriage, right foot on the platform, Pilates ring in the right hand.

Step-by-Step Flow

  1. Lunge and bring the Pilates ring onto the box.
  2. Hold the lunge and pulse the ring against the box.
  3. Scooter with the right leg.
  4. Take the ring in both hands, bring it to the chest, and twist the upper body to the left.

Cues for Teaching

  • Front knee stays over the ankle.
  • Pelvis stays stable.
  • Twist comes from the waist, hips stay quiet.
