Starting Position

Footbar down, lying on your back on the Reformer, both legs in tabletop. The right hand presses the Pilates ring against the right thigh, the left hand rests beside the body.

Step-by-Step Flow

  1. Extend the left leg into the diagonal.
  2. Lift and lower the left leg.
  3. Hold the left leg in the diagonal and press the right palm into the ring.
  4. Repeat everything on the other side.

Cues for Teaching

  • The lower back stays long on the carriage, even as the leg reaches into the diagonal.
  • Only lower the leg as far as the back stays still.
  • Hand and thigh press equally against each other — the ring stays still.
