Starting Position

Pilates ring clamped between the carriage and the platform, standing with one foot on the carriage and one on the platform, soft bend in the knees, hands on the hips.

Step-by-Step Flow

  1. Press into the Pilates ring.
  2. Hold the ring compressed and lower into a squat.
  3. Hold the squat and pulse the hips up and down.

Cues for Teaching

  • Don't release too much tension or the ring will fall out.
  • Weight distributed evenly on both heels.
  • Knees track toward the toes.
